That’s us. We make software that helps small builders price work the council has approved. When a builder prices a job, we fetch that application’s public drawings.
How we behave on your site.
- Only when a builder asks
- We fetch the drawings for one application, because one builder has asked to price it. We don’t crawl your site or copy your register.
- One thing at a time
- One job at a time, with at least a second between requests.
- Under our own name
- Every request says who we are and how to reach us. We don’t pretend to be a browser.
- If your firewall refuses us, we stop
- The builder is told we can’t get the plans, and we don’t try to get round it.
- What about robots.txt?
- We treat fetching one application for one builder as that builder’s request, not as crawling, so a robots.txt rule doesn’t stop it by itself. If you’d rather we didn’t, ask below and we’ll switch your council off.
